Senior Commercial Paint Estimator

I'm working with a well-established commercial contractor in the Charlotte Metro area that's looking to add an experienced Senior Commercial Paint Estimator to their team. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running with commercial painting estimates, while also bringing drywall experience as a plus. The business is looking for someone local to the Charlotte/Monroe area who is confident using OST and QuickBid from day one.

What You'll Be Doing

• Produce accurate commercial painting estimates from bid through award.
\n
• Complete detailed quantity takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and QuickBid.
\n
• Review construction drawings, specifications, bulletins and ASIs, updating estimates as projects evolve.
\n
• Price labour, materials and equipment while developing realistic project budgets and labour forecasts.
\n
• Work closely with general contractors to clarify scope and review project documents in Bluebeam.
\n
• Lead scope review and estimating meetings to prioritise upcoming bids.
\n
• Prepare Schedule of Values (SOVs), working budgets and project handover information for the operations team.
\n
• Assist with contract reviews, submittals, change orders through Clearstory, closeout documentation and warranty packages.
\n
• Support project scheduling using Microsoft Project where required.
\n

What They're Looking For

\n
• 5+ years of commercial estimating experience.
\n
• Strong commercial painting estimating background.
\n
• Drywall estimating experience is preferred.
\n
• Concrete estimating experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
\n
• Advanced proficiency with OST (On-Screen Takeoff) and QuickBid.
\n
• Experience using Bluebeam.
\n
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings and specifications.
\n
• Based in or within commuting distance of Monroe or the Charlotte Metro area.
\n
